January 2003 Special Grant Awards

Five special one-time grants, totaling $16,000, were awarded in January 2003 as WEF changed the Grant process and format. The recipients and grants are as follow:

Rena Merkin - WHS Develop an African-American Studies Course

Esta Nickinson - WHS Create a special education resource library.

Tom Plati - WHS Install a video/computer system in one high school science and one math classroom.

Gretchen Bravacos - Elementary Create a Pre-school special education resource library.
Judy Boroschek - Administration Subsidize five teachers who had completed preparatory programs to go to China or Greece.
