What's New!

  • Congratulations to all Spring 2010 Grant Recipients.

  • WEF Permanent Fund Reaches Goal!! The Campaign for Enduring Excellence has raised a total of $511,000 in matchable pledges. This total exceeds our fundraising goal and with the addition of $500,000 in matching funds from the Larson Family Foundation, well over $1,000,000 has been added to the WEF Permanent Fund since the Campaign began on July 1, 2006. Many thanks to the Larson Family and all of WEF's generous donors.

  • Show your appreciation to a teacher, administrator, coach or other adult who has played a special role in a student's life by making a Red Apple donation.

"The grants awarded by WEF over the past years have a never erring focus on affecting teaching and learning for all students - across the spectrum. We have many talented educators in our classrooms, and the opportunity to try new things, to be able to bring ideas to fruition is frankly essential to the sustenance of their professional livelihood. This work definitely helps teachers become better as educators.

We deeply appreciate the initiatives WEF has supported across the district."

- Bella Wong,
Superintendent of Schools
